COURSE STUCTURE CRITICAL PATH

The Practical Training Course

This consists of eight days of intensive training spread over two long weekends (module 1 and 2) and taught on set course dates. The weekends are usually held a month apart to allow for compulsory reading and study time in between. See Course Dates for more details

As part of the course the student will have the opportunity to give a minimum of FIFTEEN supervised colonic hydrotherapy treatments and experience at least two treatments themselves.

The number of students is deliberately kept to a minimum of four to allow for personal attention while covering the extensive syllabus. See Course Content for more details

Clinical Practice Development Period

On completion of module 1 and 2, students are ready to work while developing their clinical practice. This period is flexible enough to accommodate each student's particular situation and is a natural continuation from the course. It is designed to support students embed their practice and academic experience in readiness for the final examination.

As part of their clinical practice period, students are requested to seek supervision from a tutor (or local professional colonic therapist) for a minimum of FIVE Colonic Hydrotherapy treatments on three different individuals.

Written Assignment and case study requirements (Pre-exam homework)

Before applying for their final Diploma Exam, students are required to complete an extensive written assignment and collate three full case studies. The case studies are collated by the student on willing volunteers and are submitted for feed-back. A case study consists of a course of two treatments minimum.

On submission of the above assignment and case studies an additional, tutorial and supervision day is made available to the student in order to prepare for their exam This can be done through distant communication and is a final opportunity for the student to gain confidence and support prior to their Diploma completion examination

Examination is independent from the training and set out by the regulator (The Association of Registered Colon Hydrotherapist ARCH)See Examination for more details
